Role OverviewThe Buyer I is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating delivery of materials, parts, and services for aerospace manufacturing. The Buyer I will represent the Company and its values and will ensure that the expectations of the Company’s customers are exceeded.
What You Will Do
Identify, evaluate and select qualified suppliers to meet the cost, quality and delivery. Manage suppliers/subcontractors to ensure quotes, certifications and terms are well defined.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Strong communication skills to liaise with all levels of leadership/stakeholders on any potential slips on program schedules, budget, or compliance. Ensure all procured materials and services comply with strict aerospace regulations, such as AS9100, and industry-specific standards.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of purchasing experience required (preferably in aerospace)
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
- APICS & CPSM Certification preferred
- Solid work experience with ERP systems
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite
