Role OverviewThe Buyer II purchases commonly used commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) materials, supplies, equipment, and services. Transactions involve local retailers, wholesalers, jobbers, and manufacturers' sales representatives. The employee will be responsible for procurement, soliciting bids, analyzing quotations, and selecting suppliers.
What You Will Do
Perform Cradle to Grave procurement, solicit bids, locate new sources of supply, expedite delivery, visit vendors' offices, establish relationships with customers, and recommend cost savings.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of formal training and three or more years' experience

- Familiarity with government purchasing systems
- Understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
