Buyer

The Buyer will source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal cost, quality, and service. They will analyze business unit needs, recommend solutions, and implement as approved. The Buyer will also research new equipment suppliers, identify and recommend new suppliers, and negotiate with assigned suppliers to achieve lower material costs and on-time delivery.

What You Will Do

The Buyer will gather data to manage performance evaluation of assigned product's supplier, negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, and recommend risk assessment and abatement plans. They will also track non-conformance reports, cost of quality, and prepare for supplier recovery activities.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 2 years of experience purchasing in an industrial or commercial environment, and 1 year of experience sourcing new suppliers. They will also have demonstrated continuous improvement, successful working relationships, and positive personal leadership skills.
