Buyer

The Buyer is responsible for purchasing materials for domestic and international jobs, according to project-defined scopes and specifications. This role works closely with Engineering and Project Management teams to gather material requirements, issue RFQs, place and track purchase orders, and communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery.

What You Will Do

Create and manage requisitions and purchase orders from initiation to completion, source materials and negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with new and existing vendors, track and expedite deliveries, and monitor industry trends to identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve procurement processes.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, familiarity with procurement of raw materials, and experience using ERP or purchasing systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Familiarity with procurement of raw materials (steel, pipe, panel components, electrical or mechanical parts)
• Experience using ERP or purchasing systems, including Oracle, Viewpoint, or similar platforms
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), Teams, and SharePoint
