Buyer

The Buyer is responsible for applying Metalcraft's business philosophy to purchasing for manufacturing, maintaining effective relationships with suppliers and internal customers, and supporting direction and strategies regarding supplier demand forecasting and procurement transactions.

What You Will Do

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and internal customers, collaborate with purchasing and estimating teams, support direction and strategies regarding supplier demand forecasting and procurement transactions, and manage supplier on-time delivery performance.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstrated skills in problem solving, analytics, contract negotiation, and project management, and the ability to apply creative problem solving solutions and work collaboratively.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in related field OR 3 years related experience in the Supply Chain function within a similar working environment
• 5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated skills in problem solving, analytics, contract negotiation, and project management
• ERP/MRP User - SAP strongly preferred
