Role OverviewThe Buyer is responsible for supplier management, on-time-delivery, and inventory management, as well as driving cost savings and cost avoidance, dual sourcing, and risk mitigation initiatives across the business. The role requires an individual with both tactical and strategic abilities, willing and able to interact at all levels of the organization.
What You Will Do
Successfully perform the tactical execution of ERP review, issue and modify purchase orders, expediting of purchased items, manage procurement data integrity, and assist in make/buy analysis and other strategic procurement decisions.

Requirements
- 5 years' experience in purchasing/materials/supply chain management
- Bachelor's Degree – Procurement, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related field (preferred but not required)
- Professional certification CPSM, CPM, CPIM, CIRM (preferred)
- Experience, or knowledge of, ERP/MRP/MRP II systems
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Strong multi-tasking capabilities, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to think both tactically and strategically
- Experience or education with Kanban systems and other lean manufacturing techniques is a plus
