Role Overview

The Cabinet Maker II performs highly skilled trades work related to cabinet making tasks and projects. Employees in this classification are responsible for performing design, layout, building, installation, and repair of all types of cabinetry in accordance with established project objectives. Work requires advanced technical trade skills and physical agility to successfully perform the work.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include responding to internal and external customers, reviewing work orders, planning project tasks and completion schedules, designing and/or reviewing drawings, building and installing cabinetry and furniture components, and maintaining safe and effective operating conditions of shop equipment.

The ideal candidate will have six years of progressively skilled and knowledgeable experience in carpentry work, with a focus on skilled cabinet making, and the ability to design and build custom furniture according to client specifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six years of progressively skilled and knowledgeable experience in carpentry work
  • Fork lift operating certification
  • Training in use of powder charged fasteners
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver's license class D
