Job Description
Cable Splicer for Kinetic, a leading provider of advanced network communications and technology solutions. Install, repair, and support outside plant facilities, working with color-coded cables, and interacting with customers, co-workers, and managers. Must be able to work in various locations, including heights, and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying heavy objects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Certification/License: Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Ability to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable
  • Effective communication with the public, co-workers, and managers
  • Multi-tasking, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • Available for overtime, after-hours call-outs, or work during non-scheduled hours
  • Available to work assigned schedules, including Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays
  • Capable of lifting over thirty pounds continuously
  • Capable of working with and maintaining assigned tools and equipment
  • Neat in appearance, able to write legibly, and prepare and maintain neat and accurate records
  • Willing and ready to work in any assigned location and attend schools for training, which may require overnight travel
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn and use a variety of current and future applications, test systems, or information systems as they are developed
  • Working knowledge of telephony outside plant, including drops, cross-boxes, fiber systems, terminals, etc.
  • Working knowledge of computers and any applicable application
  • Capable of working aloft and successfully complete necessary safety training, including 'Working Aloft and Ladder Safety'
  • Meet weight requirements as defined in Safe Load Limits for Equipment and Ladders Policy
  • Reside within a reasonable distance of assigned reporting center
