Cable Technician

Requirements

• Supports the hospital's Christian mission and philosophy.
• Troubleshoots and performs repairs and maintenance on the telecommunications system.
• Makes all moves, adds and other changes to the switch and associated equipment.
• Trains hospital employees in telephone use.
• Makes all programming additions and deletions on the computer programs.
• Generates all reports needed for telecommunications management.
• Interacts with representatives of communication equipment and service vendors to solve complex telecommunication system problems.
• Assists the Director of Engineering Services in evaluating system needs and makes recommendations for future expansions.
• Reads and interprets service manuals, including installation and test procedures and their electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
