Role Overview

The CAD Technician II/CNC Programmer will be responsible for managing architectural models and production layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp, ensuring efficient master mold collection and optimal production workflows. This role provides CNC technical and programming support to sister plants as needed.

What You Will Do

Create, modify, and manage 2D/3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp. CNC programming using Fusion 360, V-Carve (preferred). Interpret engineering and Architectural drawings and specifications to create accurate mold types.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience using AutoCAD, SketchUp and Revit (a plus), to create and manage 2D/3D molds in a manufacturing or precast environment. They bring strong technical expertise in CNC programming and are able to translate engineering and architectural drawings into accurate, production-ready models and programs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD and modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and machining principles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
  • Ability to convert designs into production-ready models or CNC programs.
  • Ability to maintain and manage accurate technical documentation and drawings.
  • Understanding of general manufacturing processes and production workflows.
