Job Description
SSAB is one of the largest North American producers of steel plate and coil, serving many industrial markets. The CAD Technician position maintains and upkeeps the document management system, updates drawings, performs 3D modeling and drawing creation, and provides design for new and retrofit equipment.

Requirements

  • Utilize Engineering and Design Tools in the performance of the work
  • Provide drafting, modeling, and design support to the Engineering staff
  • Maintain and update the document management system
  • Manage and update the Drawing Management System (MaxView)
  • Assist engineering staff with outside contractor document collection and control
  • Directly manage smaller projects
  • Manage portions of larger projects under the guidance of engineering staff
  • Programming of plate parts for the Shipping Oxy-Fuel/Plasma Burn Beds
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Office presence required
