Role Overview

The Cancer & Tumor Registrar II identifies, analyzes, and documents the history, diagnosis, treatment, disease status, and survival data of cancer patients. Prepares and electronically submits required reporting information to the state and other appropriate cancer databases.

What You Will Do

Collects data for patient care evaluations, protocol studies, and audits. Complies with all reporting requests and requirements. Abstracts all required cancer-related information into the electronic cancer registry system.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of abstracting experience in a CoC-approved cancer program and a strong understanding of cancer data collection, medical coding, and healthcare regulation.

  • State and Central Cancer Registries Reporting

  • Analytical Thinking -Making judgments on stage grouping, coding and treatment classification
  • Communication-Clear written communication for documentation and collaboration
