Role OverviewJoin the NYC Department of Transportation's Budget and Capital Program Management (BCPM) / Capital Budget Unit (CBU) team to contribute to the management, development, and execution of DOT's $34 billion, ten-year capital program. The position will support the Director and Assistant Director in a variety of capital budget functions.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities will include analyzing new capital need proposals, supporting Capital Plan updates, facilitating Certificate-to-Proceed (CP) approvals, tracking project delivery and performance, and preparing ad-hoc reports and analyses for management.

The analyst should be comfortable working with large datasets, developing clear and effective spreadsheets and presentations, conducting research and forecasting, and coordinating with OMB, DOT divisions, and other City agencies.
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, public health, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies or a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- One year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research
- Three years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the areas described above
- Five years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described above
- Seven years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described above
