Role Overview

The Capital Finance Manager oversees capital projects undertaken by state agencies and state-supported institutions of higher education, manages Ohio's school facility programs, and administers the funding for community-based cultural and sports facilities projects. The Commission sets uniform rules, procedures, and standardized documents for state construction under Chapter 153.

What You Will Do

The Capital Finance Manager will coordinate and manage capital finance and staff, provide leadership and oversight of the Capital Finance unit, and direct the financial operations of K-12 construction programs. The manager will also formulate and implement policies, represent OFCC with internal and external stakeholders, and build and maintain positive relationships with external partners and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, budgeting, auditing, or other related experience, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The candidate will also have demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and experience with MS Excel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, budgeting, auditing, or other related experience
  • 5+ years of MS Excel experience
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
