Role OverviewThis position is a Project Management Subject Matter Expert, responsible for managing projects at the $100M level, and providing expert advice and mentoring to other projects and PM's. The role involves working with the project team to achieve project cost and schedule objectives, while ensuring excellence in project safety, quality, and risk management.
What You Will Do
The Capital Projects Manager will define the project organization structure, coordinate with functional departments, and oversee project activities to meet corporate standards and guidelines. They will develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan, ensure project controls are implemented, and fulfill the role of 'Contract Manager' or 'Owner's Representative' as defined in the project contract.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
- 10 years of experience in Project Management, Construction Management, Electric Utility Industry, or related field
- Subject Matter Expert in project and construction management fundamentals
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology to transmission lines and substations
- History of safe performance, active safety involvement, and participation
- Supervisory experience with direct reports or in a matrix organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management applications, processes, software, and equipment
- Understanding of Industry Best Practices
- Demonstrated cross-functional project leadership experience, team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor
- Knowledge of Effective Estimating Practices
- PMP (Project Management Professional certification) preferred
