Role OverviewJoin MedStar Health as a Cardiac Intervention Technologist II in our EP Lab, performing angiographic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures, and responsible for patient management prior to, during, and after the procedure.
What You Will Do
Administer contrast media, apply knowledge of cardiac physiology, and provide patient care as required. Schedule and maintain patient flow, maintain supplies, and enter patient information into the RIS and/or hospital computer system.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires a strong understanding of cardiac physiology and the ability to work independently as a first assistant to the physician. The ideal candidate will have experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization and be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology of at least 2 years duration
- 2 years' experience in diagnostic radiology
- Experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization or equivalent
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification or registration
- Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or eligibility
