Role OverviewAbound Health is seeking a caring, stable, and dedicated individual or couple to join our Life Sharing Program as a Host Family for a young adult who is working toward greater independence and community involvement. The Host Family will provide a safe, stable, and welcoming home environment, value community involvement and social connections, and encourage independence while offering guidance when needed.
What You Will Do
As a Host Family, you will provide a safe, stable, and supportive home, include the individual in family routines, meals, and activities, offer mentorship, companionship, and emotional support, encourage participation in community, church, volunteer, and recreational activities, assist with budgeting and money-management skills, help develop independence and self-confidence, and collaborate with Abound Health and the support team to follow person-centered plans.

Requirements
- Be Pennsylvania residents
- Be at least 21 years old
- Pass required background checks (FBI, Child Abuse, and Criminal History)
- Complete home inspections and safety requirements
- Provide personal and professional references
- Participate in interviews and compatibility assessments
- Be willing to welcome the individual as a member of the household
