Role OverviewThe Carpenter Apprentice is an entry-level position that supports the construction of concrete formwork and structural elements under the supervision of experienced carpenters and foremen. This role offers hands-on training in the concrete construction trade and the opportunity to grow into a skilled journeyman carpenter.
What You Will Do
Responsibly perform the duties of the craft, operate hand and motorized equipment, construct concrete forms, install re-shores, and read a tape measure in feet and inches.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Preference given to candidates with a minimum of two years of formwork / concrete construction work experience, certification in crane signaling and rigging, and physical strength to frequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds of material.
Requirements
- Good balance and physical strength
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance
- Ability to frequently walk, bend, kneel, reach and climb
- Ability to speak and understand instructions and directives in English
- Certification in crane signaling and rigging (preferred)
