Role OverviewAs a Carrier Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and developing strong business relationships with service providers to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction, while upholding Redwood's standard of operational excellence. You will work within our freight brokerage, expanding knowledge of the transportation industry, building and maintaining carrier profiles, and negotiating freight rates to maximize profitability.
What You Will Do
You will actively engage carrier partners by phone, targeting 80+ dials per day, build understanding of macro-market conditions, and coordinate available customer freight with available motor carrier equipment. You will also provide service and support to motor carriers, track and monitor shipments, and verify freight charges.
