Role Overview

As a foster care worker, you will have the opportunity to guide and support children through challenging transitions, ensuring they receive the care, stability, and opportunities they need to thrive. This pivotal role involves advocating for the well-being of children placed in resource homes, working closely with natural and resource families to create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.

What You Will Do

Develop and maintain a strong, trusting relationship with the families served and young people placed to foster engagement and support growth. Provide emotional support as you transport and supervise children and families as assigned.

Requirements

  • Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances required
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Experience working with young people 21 years of age or older
  • Valid PA driver’s license
  • Vehicle, registration, and proof of insurance
  • Frequent travel throughout the greater Pittsburgh Area
  • Ability to transport children & young people with use of all types of car seats
