Job Description
The Case Management Assistant (CMA) will collaborate with Case Managers and Social Workers to assist with the continuum of care and discharge planning. Responsibilities include communication, referrals, insurance coordination, payer source identification, medical authorization requests, and patient placement support. The role requires minimal supervision and a focus on professional growth, while functioning under direction of a Case Manager.
Requirements
Associate's Degree in related field preferred.
Minimum three years experience with a medical group, managed care organization, utilization management, hospital admitting, or medical nursing unit required.
Hospital and/or insurance experience preferred.
Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
