Job Description
Goddard Riverside is seeking a dynamic Case Manager to promote quality and integrity of social service activities at the Hillside Hotel in Queens, NY. The Case Manager will provide case management services to a caseload of approximately 25 families, utilizing evidence-based practice models and working closely with shelter staff to enforce rules and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trauma and cultural sensitivity, with experience working in congregate housing settings. A Bachelor's degree in social work or human services field is preferred, along with bilingual skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems such as CARES.

Requirements

  • Bilingual preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or other human services field, strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of trauma and how it manifests, as well as experience delivering trauma-informed, culturally sensitive services
  • Experience working on-site in a congregate housing setting preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to negotiate numerous priorities, resolve conflicts, and manage a high degree of communication with multiple parties
  • Excellent judgement
  • Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Ability to learn database systems, such as CARES
