Role OverviewThe Case Manager will provide necessary services to assist and expedite Section 8 vouchers to HPD clients. This includes managing a caseload of assisted or applicant households, initial voucher application screening, determination and verification of eligibility, client briefings, and community outreach. The Case Manager will also ensure participant cases are accurately screened and reviewed for completeness and in compliance with Federal HUD Rules and Regulations.
What You Will Do
Manage a caseload of assisted or applicant households, perform initial voucher application screening, determine and verify eligibility, brief clients, perform community outreach, prepare and send correspondence, document case files and electronic records, calculate rent, review yearly recertifications, and attend mandatory trainings.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong customer service focus, computer proficiency, and experience with Section 8 or other rental subsidy programs. Bilingual skills and experience in community work or community-centered activities are a plus.
