Category Manager

As a Category Manager at Epiroc, you will develop and implement category sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, manage supplier relationships, and lead RFQs, negotiations, and contracting initiatives. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and logistics teams to support sourcing decisions and analyze market trends, supplier capacity, and industry developments. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality requirements, and supply chain risks, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What You Will Do

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include developing and implementing category sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, leading RFQs, negotiations, and contracting initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will also analyze market trends, supplier capacity, and industry developments to support new product introductions and supplier onboarding activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• Intermediate Excel experience
• Demonstrated experience sourcing and managing suppliers
• Strong negotiation, contracting, and supplier management skills
• Experience with ERP systems and sourcing tools
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to manage cross-functional projects in a global environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
