Job Description
This position supports International Paper’s Columbus Cellulose Fibers (CCF) facility in Columbus, Mississippi, responsible for completing scheduled and routine maintenance work as part of a team and independently. Duties include installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining 575V thru 2300V motor controls, 13.8kV electrical systems, relay logic, PLC systems, DCS, and various field instruments, analytical equipment, and final control elements.

Requirements

  • Must be at least age 18
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required
  • Eligible for employment in the US
  • Five (5) or more years industrial E&I maintenance experience
  • Previous multi-skilled E&I maintenance experience
  • Must possess high standards in the areas of safety, quality, ethics, craftsmanship, customer focus, and leadership skills
  • Skilled in maintenance and troubleshooting of E&I related equipment and process problems
  • Knowledge of key operating areas, PLCs AC & DC drives, analog and digital field instrumentation, and DCS equipment
  • Preferred: Two year Associate Degree in any of the IP Core Maintenance skills or related disciplines (Instrumentation or Electrical)
  • Relevant work experience in an industrial environment
  • Strong math/physics understanding
  • Prior experience as a multi-skilled Electrical/Instrumentation Technician
