Job Description
Primarily responsible for local deliveries and occasionally overnight deliveries of finished steel coils. Must have a valid Class A CDL license with a minimum of 3 years CDL experience and meet all DOT requirements.

Requirements

  • Delivers items by identifying destinations; establishing route; and maintaining scheduled guidelines.
  • Inspects load prior to departure to ensure all cargo is secured in the truck or trailer for safe and efficient travel.
  • Maintains safe operation of vehicle through safe driving practices.
  • Maintains delivery, truck, and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments; recording tracking information; completing driver log and truck performance forms.
  • Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
