Role OverviewThe Hatchery Chick Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of chicks from the company hatcheries, ensuring timely delivery. This role operates and maintains commercial hauling equipment, follows established delivery schedules, and upholds company standards for safety, quality, and reliability.
What You Will Do
Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently, conduct equipment inspections, communicate effectively with associates, and maintain equipment and work areas clean and neat.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The driver must have a valid Class A CDL with 12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience within the previous 36 months, and be able to communicate effectively with others in a manner that maintains harmony with co-workers.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- 12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience within the previous 36 months
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions
- Ability to drive a truck safely
- Working knowledge of driving and traffic rules
- Good hand and eye coordination
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Ability to operate a manual CMV
