Job Description
Landstar is seeking a CDL Owner Operator Transportation Advisor to assist truck owner operators with day-to-day business decisions and educate them about the Landstar systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer support and coaching/training, as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
Initiate and document first contact with new Owner Operators
Perform oral and written review with Owner Operator at 45- and 90-day intervals
Gather critical information pertaining to new Owner Operators to promote retention
Track and measure weekly gross/net revenue
Handle incoming calls
Provide guidance about the importance of planning and being productive
Monitor inactivity to ensure Owner Operators receive timely counsel on barriers for generating revenue
Meet with Owner Operators if needed to provide solutions for existing or potential problems
Schedule DOT drug and alcohol testing; follow up on results
