Job Description
Landstar is seeking a CDL Owner Operator Transportation Advisor to assist truck owner operators with day-to-day business decisions and educate them about the Landstar systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer support and coaching/training, as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Initiate and document first contact with new Owner Operators
  • Perform oral and written review with Owner Operator at 45- and 90-day intervals
  • Gather critical information pertaining to new Owner Operators to promote retention
  • Track and measure weekly gross/net revenue
  • Handle incoming calls
  • Provide guidance about the importance of planning and being productive
  • Monitor inactivity to ensure Owner Operators receive timely counsel on barriers for generating revenue
  • Meet with Owner Operators if needed to provide solutions for existing or potential problems
  • Schedule DOT drug and alcohol testing; follow up on results
