Role OverviewHDR is hiring an Inspector Aide to assist our CEI Construction Inspection team on transportation projects. This position will be based at our project site in Orlando, Florida. As part of HDR's Field Services team, you'll be on the front lines of infrastructure development, making sure that what's designed is built to the highest standards.
What You Will Do
Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, and stormwater systems. Monitor, record and inspect progress on construction projects. Conduct or coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, and performing in-place soil compaction testing.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, experience in MS Office, and strong written communication skills. Preferred qualifications include a technical school or Associate degree and some demonstrated experience in construction inspection. Local candidates are preferred.
