Role OverviewThe Cemetery Caretaker is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance of the cemetery, mausoleum, and funeral home locations. This includes grounds keeping, maintenance, locating grave sites, digging graves, installing memorials, and conducting interments. The role requires a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of quality and comfort.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities include grounds keeping, interment/memorialization, facilities cleaning/maintenance, and repairs. The employee will be responsible for cutting grass, maintaining lawns, trimming around trees and walkways, and clearing debris. They will also be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of funeral homes and/or mausoleum facilities.
