Role OverviewLife Skills Autism Academy is looking for exceptional behavior technicians to provide ABA therapy in a 1:1 setting under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. The therapy is used to increase critical developmental skills such as language and communication, social, and school readiness behaviors.
What You Will Do
Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, follow behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols, collect and record data, assist with parent and caregiver training, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to complete a 40 hour training course and sit for the RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
- Driver's license and valid car insurance
- CPR and First Aid certification
- TB test if not had in the past year
- Ability to physically perform the job, including getting down on the floor and standing up many times, lifting up to 50lbs, and running/moving quickly if required
- Reliability and ability to show up for each scheduled therapy appointment
- Professional presentation and conduct
- Patience to help keep clients on task
- Emotional control when dealing with clients who may act out physically or verbally
- Positive attitude and drive to help a child acquire new skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to do repetitive tasks in a precise manner
- Ability to follow and carry out detailed instructions
- Strong understanding of technology to record data on a mobile device and navigate digital applications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong cultural competency and ability to remain flexible and open-minded
