Role OverviewThe Central Dispatch position is responsible for providing efficient operation of the Altorfer Rental Central Transportation. The role involves scheduling deliveries and pickups, evaluating and selecting third-party hauling vendors, and maximizing routes for drivers. The position requires a thorough understanding of rental equipment and services, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
What You Will Do
The Central Dispatch will schedule outside hauling for deliveries/pickups, exercise discretion in evaluating and selecting third-party hauling vendors, and maximize routes for drivers. The role also involves completing timely paperwork, reporting, and invoicing, as well as actively communicating with customers, sales team, and rental coordinators daily.

Requirements
- Understands usage and applications of all rental equipment and services offered
- Thorough knowledge of 'common' equipment loads and how to organize
- Working knowledge of construction phases to properly advise applications
- Knowledge of permits and how to obtain them (state, local, county)
- MS Word and Excel a plus
- Basic computing key to role success using software for dispatch
