Role Overview

The Centralized Scheduler and Project Controls develops, maintains, and standardizes master project schedules across the company’s portfolio of build-for-rent (BFR) communities. This role ensures a consistent scheduling methodology, provides schedule analytics to project and executive leadership, and partners closely with onsite project management and superintendent teams to maintain disciplined, data-driven project schedules.

What You Will Do

The Centralized Scheduler and Project Controls will build and maintain the CPM master schedule for each active community, provide preliminary schedules for projects in Preconstruction, develop the initial baseline schedule for each project, and assist with daily schedule reconciliation. This role will also maintain a portfolio-wide long-lead material tracking log, cross-reference long-lead delivery dates against master schedule need-by dates, and recommend expediting or resequencing strategies when deliveries are at risk of impacting the critical path.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of construction scheduling experience, ideally across multiple concurrent multifamily or build-for-rent (BFR) projects, and proficiency with scheduling software, including Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project, and schedule-reporting tools. The candidate will also have strong analytical skills, working knowledge of CPM methodology, resource loading, critical path analysis, and delay analysis, as well as experience tracking long-lead procurement, permitting, and submittal logs and incorporating them into a master construction schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of construction scheduling experience
  • Proficiency with scheduling software, including Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
  • Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of CPM methodology
  • Experience tracking long-lead procurement, permitting, and submittal logs
