Role OverviewThe CERT Officer reports to the CERT Commander and is responsible for rapid response to emergency or high-risk incidents at the facility, evaluating situations, and determining tactical objectives.
What You Will Do
The CERT Officer will serve as a member of the CERT team, responding to routine and serious incidents, protecting the safety of the public, staff, and offenders, and minimizing damage to property.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have experience in law enforcement or military operations, and be able to attend and pass specialized training courses, including firearms and unarmed self-defense.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license in Mississippi or Louisiana
- Minimum of one year experience in law enforcement or military operations
- Must be 21
