Role OverviewReviews clinical documentation and diagnostic results to extract data and apply appropriate ICD codes for billing, reporting, and regulatory compliance. Works under the direction of the Revenue Cycle Manager and HIM Supervisor.
What You Will Do
Accurately codes inpatient and observation conditions and procedures, resolves error reports, and assists in design and implementation of workflow changes to reduce billing errors.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Requires 3 years of coding work experience, CCS/CCA certification, and high school diploma or equivalent. Must have expert knowledge of MCC/CC's and the ability to work interdepartmentally with physicians and NMC department representatives.
