Role OverviewThe Virtual Patient Educator will provide education about specific diabetes treatments, and resources to help patients better begin and manage their diabetes and resources associated with their prescribed medication. This role is strictly educational based, and Virtual Patient Navigators do not provide medical advice or work clinically within this role. The Virtual Patient Educator will work from a dedicated workspace in their primary home residence, interacting with patients via telephone, video platforms, email, and SMS.
What You Will Do
The Virtual Patient Educator will be responsible for participating in one-on-one communications with enrolled patients, strictly following the guidelines of the program. They will provide education and support to help patients manage their diabetes and resources associated with their prescribed medication.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or BSN
- 3+ year as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)
- Complete understanding and application of principles, practices, and standards in diabetes care directly with patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of diabetes care principles and practices
- Ability to build relationships with customers and cross-functional partners
