Role Overview

The Medical Assistant functions under the direction of the Physician, Clinical Lead, Clinical Nurse Supervisor, Nurse Supervisor and/or Office Manager. Provides care for the patient under the physician's direction.

Performs various clinical and non-clinical duties, including registration, laboratory testing, radiology functions, and patient liaison.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program
  • Cert Medical Assistant
  • Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor
  • Phlebotomy certification within 60 Days
  • OSHA training course for operators of radiology equipment within sixty days of hire
  • Successful passing of a Medical Assistant credentialing body examination (AAMA, AMT) Upon Hire
