Role OverviewWe are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at the Lexington Women's Health Care Center. The CMA will assist with patient care, record critical patient information, and provide information to patients. The role requires adherence to OSHA guidelines and infection control protocols.
What You Will Do
The CMA will perform various tasks, including preparing exam/procedure rooms, assisting with patient transfers, recording patient medical history, and performing venipuncture. They will also assist providers with procedures and screenings, and relay instructions to patients.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, current national certification as a CMA, and a minimum of 1 year of experience working in a medical facility. Previous experience in an OB/GYN setting is preferred.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Current national certification such as a CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA
- CPR certification
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant or combination of experience and documented internship in a medical office
- Previous experience in an OB/GYN setting preferred
