Role OverviewWe are recruiting a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to work at OGI Carmel office in Carmel, IN. The CMA will assist with patient care, record critical patient information, and provide information to patients. The role requires adherence to OSHA guidelines and infection control protocols.
What You Will Do
The CMA will perform various tasks such as preparing exam/procedure rooms, cleaning rooms, setting up instruments and equipment, and maintaining patient records. They will also accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms, assist with walking transfers or dressing, and perform venipuncture and collect specimens as needed.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, current national certification as a CMA, and a minimum of 1 year of recent experience working in a medical facility. Previous experience in an OB/GYN setting is preferred.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Current national certification such as a CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA
- CPR certification
- 1 year recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant or combination of experience and documented internship in a medical office
- Previous experience in an OB/GYN setting preferred
