What You Will Do
Retrieve and manage patient medical records, assist providers during examinations, support patient flow, administer medications, obtain and communicate lab and radiology results, and perform clinical support tasks.
Why It Might Be a Fit
We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant with a minimum of one year of full-time experience in an outpatient family practice or primary care setting, with proficiency in computer operations and applicable software applications.
Requirements
- Degree/Education: Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) of the American Medical Technologists or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.
- Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Current certification as a medical assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or Current registration by the American Medical Technologists and/or possess certification as a medical assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants OR registration by the American Medical Technologists OR the American Registry of Medical Assistant OR National Center for Competency Testing.
- Experience: Possess a minimum of one year of full-time experience in the last 3 years as a CMA in an outpatient family practice or primary care setting.
- Provide two (2) letters of recommendation from practicing providers, supervisors or program administrators attesting to his/her professional skills, competencies, patient rapport, etc.
- Computer Skill Competency: Must demonstrate computer proficiency and competency as required by the contract, including, but not limited to, internet usage, computer operations, and applicable software applications.
