Role OverviewProvides patient care in the physician office setting, assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care, and functions as a primary liaison between patients, families, staff, and providers.
What You Will Do
Assists physicians with examinations, schedules diagnostic tests, performs initial-response screening, and prepares and administers medications and immunizations.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant through American Association of Medical Assistants or The American Registry of Medical Assistants
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Understanding of laboratory techniques
- Knowledge of clinical and diagnostic procedures
- Demonstrated pharmacology knowledge and ability to administer medication
- Knowledge of office practices, patient relations, and medical law and ethics
- Understanding of various coding and reimbursement systems including ICD, CPT
- Ability to analyze and interpret clinical data and excellent critical thinking skills
