Certified Medical Assistant

What You Will Do

Perform clinical intake, including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation. Assist with minor procedures, provide whole care to patients, and maintain confidentiality of employees' and patients' information.

Requirements

• Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology
• Knowledge of chronic disease management
• Knowledge of and ability to utilize internal and external resources
• Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems
• Ability to function and assist others in stressful, fast-paced environments
• Ability to resolve issues and work independently within the scope of their certification
• Ability to exercise sound judgement, diplomacy and a professional demeanor
• Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing and typing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively
• Experience with computers
• High School Grad or Equiv
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification
