Role OverviewThe Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will serve as a key member of the patient care team in an ambulatory setting. This position will work closely with providers across multiple specialties as well as with other clinical and administrative staff to deliver an exceptional patient experience that contributes to positive health outcomes for patients and a work culture in alignment with our values of Service-Oriented, Trust, Empathy, Safety, Inclusion, and Communication.
What You Will Do
Greet and interact with patients, visitors, vendors, and all faculty and staff. Prepare patients for their visit, perform phlebotomy duties, and point-of-care tests. Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and department-specific therapies. Enter orders in Epic as required. Notify physicians and nurses of emergencies and perform first aid.

Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalency
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Certified by a credentialing body
- Current BCLS/AED certification
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform across multi-disciplinary and/or specialties
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Basic proficiency in computer skills including Electronic Health Systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, email systems, etc.
