Role OverviewAvaMed Workforce is a Healthcare Staffing Agency that staffs all of California State Correctional Facilities. We are in urgent need of a Medical Assistant to take on a Full-Time assignment at the correctional facility located in Delano, CA.
What You Will Do
Provide administrative and clinical duties, including procedures such as administering basic life support, using medical equipment, administering medications, and collecting lab specimens.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have a license by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California to practice as a Medical Assistant within these five organizations: AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, and MMCI.
Requirements
- License by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California
- Certification in Medical Assisting (AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, MMCI)
- Ability to work under the licensure of a Physician and Surgeon, or Podiatrist, and under assigned administrative supervision at a correctional Institution/Facility
