Certified Medical Assistant Practice Based

What You Will Do

Perform clinical intake, screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation. Assist with minor procedures, educate patients, and monitor inventory. Maintain confidentiality and support staff teamwork.

• Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology
• Knowledge of chronic disease management
• Knowledge of and ability to utilize internal and external resources
• Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems
• Ability to function and assist others in stressful, fast-paced environments
• Ability to resolve issues and work independently
• Ability to exercise sound judgement, diplomacy and a professional demeanor
• Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing and typing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively
• Experience with computers
• High School Grad or Equiv
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
• American Association Medical Assistants (CMA) OR Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) OR National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) OR Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
