Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and certified Music Teacher to join an innovative K–4 school team in Plainfield, NJ. The ideal candidate is an educator with a strong musical background, a passion for student development, and the creativity to build a robust, inclusive music program.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Music or Music Education (Master’s preferred)
  • Holds a valid New Jersey teaching certificate in Music Education or is eligible for a CE or CEAS in music
  • At least 2 years of full-time classroom experience is preferred
  • Experience in charter schools or urban educational settings is a plus
  • Strong background in choral instruction, ensemble direction, and music performance
  • Familiarity with diverse pedagogical methods in music education
  • Demonstrated ability to connect with students and build joyful learning environments
  • Proficiency in accompaniment is strongly preferred
