What You Will Do
Follows the plan of care, assists with personal hygiene, prepares meals, assists with ambulation, and provides emotional support to clients.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have successfully completed a nurse aide training and competency evaluation program, be certified by the Maryland Board of Nursing, and have current CPR certification.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed a nurse aide training and competency evaluation program
- Certified by the Maryland Board of Nursing as a certified nursing assistant
- Current CPR certification
- Free from health problems that may be injurious to client, self, and co-workers
- Comprehend the basics of personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation
- Understand and respect clients, including ethics and confidentiality
- Cleared background screening
