Job Description
Shriners Children's Shreveport is seeking a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Rehab department. The position is part-time, working 40 hours bi-weekly, and provides physical therapy treatment services for assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Requirements

  • Implements a physical therapy treatment plan developed by supervision Physical Therapist
  • Adapts intervention environments, tools, materials, methods and activities according to the needs of the individual patient
  • Communicates status changes of patient to supervising PT for re-evaluation and modification of treatment plans and goals
  • Participates in discharge planning, under the supervision of the licensed PT
  • Documents treatment and progress in the medical record accurately and within established time lines
  • Communicates regularly with supervising licensed PT regarding the development and implementation of treatment plan via regularly scheduled and documented case conference regarding the patient
