What You Will Do
Positions patients for optimal surgical exposure while ensuring comfort and safety. Assists with hemostasis, participates in volume replacement or auto-transfusion techniques, and assists with closure of body planes.

Requirements
- Knowledge of Anatomy
- Assist the surgeon in the Surgical Procedures
- Prepares and maintains surgical area
- Performs technical responsibilities for optimal patient care
- Serves as a resource person
- Able to precept and act as resource person and preceptor in multiple surgical specialties
- Ability to prepare surgical suites with appropriate instruments, resources, and supplies based on surgeon preference cards
- Strong physician/surgeon relationship skills and team mentality
- Up-to-date knowledge of patient rights and ability to respect cultural, psychosocial, and spiritual values
- Up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulatory, compliance, and accreditation standards and requirements
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals
- Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Proficient in a minimum of 2 surgical specialties
