Job Description
Petco is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to provide excellent veterinary care to patients and customer care to their owners. The position involves assisting veterinarians with appointments, performing patient restraint, and maintaining electronic medical records.

Requirements

  • College or college-equivalent education (completed) as required in becoming a Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the state in which the hospital is located.
  • At least 1-year previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or working in a veterinary practice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Compassion and sympathy, and ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor during emotional and stressful situations.
  • Telephone and computer skills.
  • Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments, offer creative ideas, and accept change.
